Critical Lenses Photos



  1. The feeling I get when viewing this picture is the dangers that present themselves in Middle East Asia and the life changing situations.
  2. It tells the viewer the potential danger surronding in our world today and the extragavegent safety issues that arise. Yes.
  3. The subject of this photo is the photojournalist that is escaping the shootout in gaza and the dangers.
  4. The lighting of the photo is natural and should most probably be during noon.
  5. The color is black that standout because of the day.
  6. The focus is on the photojournalist because of the situation.
  7. About 5 ft. away. Intensity of the situation.
  8. The subject is centered and the picture composed.
  9. It is impersonal and creates an element of salvation among a harsh situation.
  10. The man running away from the insurgents of the Gaza territory.
  11. The background again is mentioned with men manuerving along side.
  12. To show the intensity of the situation and the establishment of fear.
  13. Yes it qualifies as photojournalism because the man is holding a camera.
  14. No because life is surrounded with situations that are undetermined in what will occur.

  1. It creates a feeling of understanding that the people have toward the particular country and environment.
  2. The society in North Korea gives the apparent praise that you have toward authorities.

  14. No it has a timeless quality. It is ironic because they are surrounding another human.

  1. It creates a sense of terrifying and among all the worst of all situations.
  2. Its tells the viewer the danger that lurks in all the world in many places. Yes, the scarce unity that mankind does not have.
  3. The anit-armory gun and bullets seem to be the fear in the picture.

  5. The effect is the kind of black and white fear that revolves the picture.
  6. The man is in the center and and the gun out of focus, and it gives the effect of death and other intensities.

  8. The subject is not centered, the gun is the rule of thirds. It is composed of overlapping bullets.
  9. It is personal because of the warfare going in around the time.
  10. The gun and the man lying down at the ground, and the situations humans get involved in war.
  11. The background seems to be a mountain and the sun.

  13. Yes, it qualifies as journalism because of the sequence of the picture.

    1. Which of these photos have you seen before? (Describe) What (or who) is the subject?
    I've seen the photo of the "South of DMZ 1966" which is the image of the Vietnam War and the atrocities that it has risen.
     
    2. Choose one of these photos that appeals to you most. Copy/paste this photo on your blog and answer the following questions.





    3. What's the "story" here?
    Although the two men are from different ethnicities, the picture depicts the harsh establishment of war, and the relationship between humans regardless of the circumstances.

    4. What else is in the photograph?

    The friend from the left is restraining him to show the friend has perished in war, and the main situation of the photo is the manner and emotions that proceed in war.

    5. What do you learn from this picture? 




    6. Why do you suppose this photograph has become iconic? 

    It is ironic because their was much criticism about two individuals from different backgrounds could be seen together; moreover, back at home in the United States this photograph the many opinions of others.

    Of the relationship that has created throughout the war and the environment and sadness it brings.

    8. How do you think the photographer got this shot? 

    From walking onside the battlefield.

    Yes.


    10. What differences do you notice between these photographs and those we've taken ourselves? What is the difference between personal photography and photojournalism?
    It has more purpose than those that we've actually taken in the classroom because it life changing.

    The way of the efficient good progress between the motives.

    A great photo is the one taken with the great mildness of heart.

    My Self Assessment

    • Communication skills: The communication skills that present itself are an accurate measure of the designs and characteristics that in my life.
    • Listening Skills: It is difficult for me to stay in my focus and create a certain desire for me to continue paying attention to those who talk to me. 1. One certain characteristic is the fact that can remain the passive attitude.
    •  Writing Skills: My writer skills are accurate and seem to be doing a good representation in the further display of making a greater decision in choosing appropriate words.
    • Speaking Skills: I communicate with the people I interact with very well. 
    • Interpersonal Skills -- work as a team, interviewing others politely, going in-depth
    • Curiosity and awareness -- eager to know what's going on around you, able to see patterns in life and when those patterns are altered
    • Self-direction -- I have no self direction in what I may create.
    • Self-confidence -- I believe in myself when it is good to listen to myself.
